The stats are updated once a day for all the games. Players' Stats are based on the PsychoStats program.
A great way to keep track of your weapon proficiencies and who is killing who.

If you enjoy playing on our servers, and making use of the resources on our website, you can help us keep everything up, running, and moving forward by donating some funds. There is no minimun, donate what you feel it's worth to you.
This is not a fee-for-service site. You don't have to pay to play. Your contribution helps ensure that SunLit's doesn't go anywhere, and hopefully will allow us to grow and improve.

How do I use a signature image and avatar in the forums ?

First thing I'd like to say about all this is kind of conceptual.... Keep in mind that the forum system is integrated with the PostNuke content management system (which runs the overall site), but it is not a stock component and therefore the integration is not perfect. That's why there's a separate "profile" link in the forums that seems to contain some information (e.g., your name) but not all information (e.g., your signature) from the info you entered in your PostNuke profile when you registered for the site. If this confuses anyone, just know that you need to configure your "profile" in the forum system to have a signature and to adjust your avatar for the forums. OK, now on to the step-by-step instructions... If you've changed your avatar in your master profile for the sunlitgames.net site (i.e., the main PostNuke system), but it is not showing up in the forums, just Click on the "Profile" link near the top in the forums. When your forum profile comes up, scroll down towards the end and click the "From PostNuke" button and your current PostNuke (i.e., main site) avatar will be copied into the forum system. Alternately, you may specify a link to another avatar in the box provided. With regard to the signature problem, I have turned on the important HTML tags in the forum system from the admin menu. However, I noticed in the user profile section that each individual user may select an option "Always allow HTML" -- make sure this is set to "yes." Then put your img tag with a link to your signature in the box near the top of the profile section, and you should be all set. There is a button at the top of the user profile screen that says "Refresh from PostNuke". I believe this will pull all your current profile info (avatar, signature, name, etc.) from your main registration profile for the whole site.

My log in for the sunlit server is [NN]Kiote. How can I drop the [NN]?

Just re-register with a new name. Your name is the one thing that can't be edited.

what does SLDL meen

SunLit Day of Defeat League

is my login name on sunlit's website going to be my name while playing?

No, they are separate. It's not a bad idea to use the same name (or something very similar), though, so that people know who you are in both places.

The SunLit Games download system appears unique. What are its features?

SunLit Games has implemented a new file Download module, developed for us by one of our longtime members, Hurricane. This new system is a module for the content management system that SunLit uses, PostNuke. Hurricane has named the module "ExDownload." The new module is a database-driven system, which is much better than the html coding in Notepad that we've been doing all these years ;) . This new system is much more flexible and sophisticated. The new system allows for multiple categories and subcategories, allowing us to better organize all our files and make it easier to navigate the system. Another nice navigational feature is something called "breadcrumbing." This refers to the series of categories and subcategories you are currently viewing, listed in the title bar at the top. Click on the category you want to go back to the appropriate page. One of the most dramatic new features of ExDownload is the ability to have lots of information about each map (or other file offered for download). Note that there can be a review of the map and multiple pictures. Clicking on each thumbnail will show a larger version of the image as well. Something I know many of our members have asked about in the past is for the ability to rate and review maps themselves. Now you can. At the bottom of each map detail page, registered users can post a comment and rate the map themselves. Another powerful new feature is the search box. Users can now type in a search phrase and automatically search our entire database. You no longer have to scroll through numbered pages to find the map "dod_pier_b2." If you know the name, or part of the name, just type it in the box and hit the search button. Furthermore, the search feature does not simply search the titles of download files, it searches the reviews and comments as well. For instance, if you want to find "that cool DOD Source map that's based on Chemille," but you can't remember the name, just type in "Chemille" and hit search. Since the review of dod_coire mentions that it is a remake of dod_chemille, you'll find your map. There are more goodies you'll discover as you explore the new system. Just click on "Downloads" on the main menu to get started. Go check it out now! Leave some comments on your favorite maps! And again, many, many thanks to Hurricane for all his effort on this excellent new system. "Look out! There's a Hurricane coming through."
