Category: ProDODThe news items published under this category are as follows.
The COFv2 plugin is running on SunLit Futurama.
"This change will fix the light domination issues. The lights are now noticeably far less accurate across any long distance. As you can see the previous cone mostly favored the guns that fire the most, since they had more chances to hit the center. This version of the plugin spreads the 'center' region out so guns that should be less accurate have a larger 'center' whereas guns that are accurate have much smaller 'centers.' - Red Comet
Source's cof is on the left, prodod's cof is in the middle, and dod 1.3's cof is on the right.
Version 0 and 1 of the plugin used the middle cof, this version uses the right hand one.

Red Comet announces a ProDod Server plugin for DOD Source
"Right now its only feature is to change dods' random cof to the prodod cof, nothing more. Let me repeat myself, Complete dods with the prodod cof, no other changes."
The plugin is up and running on Futurama. Can you feel any difference in the gameplay?
Is it the answer to the most common gripes about Source? Speak out.

ProDOD will be launched to the public today 4pm est
SunLit Crossfire 69.28.221.230:27015
Download
"Hello again sunlit people... today is the day Prodod is going live!
The plan for now is to release the new client and everything at 4pm EST today, so be sure to swing by www.prodod.net around then.
Also, all of you with the old beta client will want to read the following message:
Anyone and everyone that has been using the old beta client to run the mod will need to completely delete their Prodod folder (should be in program files) for launch and download the new client/installer on release. If you do not do this you will continue to get update errors and not be able to play the game.
However, before you do this I would recommend that you save/backup your maps, configs, etc - PM me with any questions. - PuRe"
ProDOD has a bulit in cvar and file consistency plugin. The file consistency is disabled for launch.

"one of the things that i thought you guys might be interested in helping out with is playtesting the mod with a couple of the valve dod/dods devs. they (valve) recently got on board to primarily 'audit' the mod (and i'm guessing (based on their questions so far) to make sure you NEED dods, among some other things), but also to check out the changes we've made in general. they would like for the prodod team to schedule a time to play (during their workday) when other players will be playing too. since i do NOT want them to run around ingame with some of the 'not nice/tactful' people we have in our main group, i figured that the best place for them to play was with the Sunlit group, since i know you all can play your normal games and not (like some of our testers would) try and 'get in their face' or something. - Pure "
Who says niceness doesn't pay off? ;)

The Prodod mod has updated again and SunLits has an opportunity to speak to the changes in weapon balances and traits.
SunLit Crossfire 69.28.221.230:27015 is running and ready for a workout. Take a walk through all of the weapons.
Enforcers can use the Rcon menu to execute the pdmatch.cfg.

Participation in the ProDOD beta test program on SunLit Crossfire 69.28.221.230:27015 has been excellent and the server reaching capacity at times. We are running the stock maps and some choice customs. The customs will auto download.
The server is setup to run a match config, passworded, 20 min rounds for from 6v6 to 10v10 teams. Clan or pick up game (pug) are welcome. Any enforcer can run the match cfg through the Mani Admin Rcon menu. There is a Crossfire channel in SunVent for your use.
As fun as just playing is, this is a beta test for the pub player community. Reporting your observations and suggestions is strongly recommended. You can do so in the ProDOD Beta Test Forum. Pure from the ProDOD development team is answering questions in the forums daily.

SunLit is participating in the ProDOD beta test program. We have set up a test server, SunLit Crossfire 69.28.221.230:27015 for our members to use during this test.
In case any of you are not familiar with this mod, it offers gameplay very similar to DoD 1.3, but with the Source engine. Weapons are more accurate. All classes have pistols. If enough of us like it, we may keep it around.
As this is a beta test, we are not allowed to simply post a link to the ProDOD client installer on our site. The ProDOD development team has said we may give out the client file to a limited number of "trusted members" (i.e., people we trust not to distribute the client installer to anyone else).
Therefore, if anyone would like to participate in the beta test, they will have to ask Rosie or Pvt.John by e-mailing us for a link to the client-installer. We will be happy to provide this to any SunLit regular that we recognize, on the condition you agree not to redistribute the file. You may e-mail us at admin -at- sunlitgames -dot- net. Make sure to sign your e-mail with your game name so we know who you are.
Remember, the whole point of the beta test is feedback for the developers. Speak up :)
